Message From the Mayor

As every Philadelphian knows, freedom is something to celebrate. The Declaration of Independence was signed right here in Philadelphia. The U.S. Constitution was also written here. From Independence Hall to the Liberty Bell Center, the spirit of freedom rings out loud and clear.

In the City of Brother Love and Sisterly Affection we not only celebrate freedom, we show the world that Philly is the best place to celebrate the 4th of July. After all, it all started here!

This year, the city where the Fourth of July originated is throwing a party so big that it lasts nine days. We call it Sunoco Welcome America! and we welcome you to join us for America’s best 4th of July celebration.

Celebrate freedom with us and enjoy the food, festivities, the parade and not one, but two spectacular fireworks shows... and best of all, a free concert featuring the amazing John Legend and another one the next day featuring Philadelphia’s own Boyz II Men.
